General Wesley Clark Endorses Veteran Congressman Leonard Boswell

Des Moines, IA - Congressman Leonard Boswell received the endorsement of General Wesley Clark today. "As a 20-year veteran of the Army, Congressman Boswell supports an expanded GI Bill for our veterans and has pushed for increases in funding for the Department of Veterans Affairs," said General Wesley Clark. "The insight of those who serve in the Armed Forces is too often lost in our nation's dialogue about foreign policy, health care, education, and veterans' issues. We can't afford to lose a true American hero like Leonard in Congress."

"I am so pleased to have earned General Clark's endorsement in this race. Receiving the support of veterans has always been extremely important to me," Congressman Boswell said. "I will continue to fight for veterans rights and will work to bring our troops home from Iraq safely."

During thirty-four years of service in the United States Army Wesley K. Clark rose to the rank of four-star general as NATO's Supreme Allied Commander, Europe.
